Community Service Partners
Our chapter started in 2009-2010 and has established a tradition of appropriate conduct, leadership, community service, and academic excellence. Members are expected to excel academically and set the standard for appropriate an responsible citizenship at school. A major point of emphasis has been our dedication to community service. All members are expected to participate in at least one of the many community service opportunities we have planned for throughout the year. Our primary partners are a local animal rescue group and a local veteran's assistance group.
Military Missions in Action (MMIA)
Our soldiers risk their lives to protect our freedom. Unfortunately, some that return have little to come back to. FBLA is involved with MMIA by providing supplies for veterans that need help getting back on their feet after coming back from duty. This is a great opportunity to give back to those fighting for our country and express our gratitude to our troops. This year, FBLA is sponsoring the Lesher family. We have helped in building a "man cave" in their house and welcoming Mrs. Lesher's husband back home. We hope to do so much more with the Lesher family and to take on more families in the future. FBLA could use your help in making returning and returned veterans feel right at home so get involved now and make a difference in your community! (click on the title for more info.) |
Rescue Ur Forever Friend (RUFF)
If you love animals then this volunteer opportunity is for you! FBLA has partnered with RUFF to help rescue abandoned pets, care for them, and find forever homes for them. We hold pet food drives, pet adoptions, and pet washes to raise funds for RUFF. Pets don't judge and they are always there when we need them! So we need to be when they need us! Help out this cause and save your forever friend! (click on the title for more info.) |
